Will your portfolio survive a credit crunch? Here is what you should consider | Ausbiz
The struggles of the banking sector continue, and could lead to a credit crunch. This is the view of Isaac Poole from Oreana Financial Services, who predicts that credit retrenchment, which can lead to credit crunches, is likely to lead to a recession.
Isaac says investors in multi-asset portfolios should become more defensive by increasing exposure to longer bonds and quality value equities such as healthcare, consumer staples, and utilities. He recommends reducing exposure to growth and beaten-down areas.
Isaac says investors should respect the uncertainty in the market and be prepared.
